Hi I'm Steve Garratt. I'm here to tell you about Greg Carpenter's ebook called "Introduction to Basic Electronics".
There are two main pdf books, some bonus books and audio files in the package. All the essentials are covered in nine chapters of book one. They cover current and voltage, resistance, capacitance, inductance, alternating current, transformers, reactance, impedance and semiconductors.
Chapter one is about current and voltage. How electricity flows and which materials make good conductors and insulators.
Every chapter is followed by comprehensive review notes.
Chapter two covers resistors. These are the simplest electronic component. What is resistance and how they control the flow of electricity.

Chapter three: Capacitors. What is a capacitor and how it holds an electric charge.
Chapter four: Inductance. In many ways an inductor is the exact opposite of a capacitor.
Chapter five: Alternating current. Alternating current is what powers the world today and there is a good reason for that.
Chapter six: Transformers. Used to convert from low voltage to high voltage and from high voltage to low voltage. Our national power grids would not work without them.
Chapter seven: Reactance is a tricky concept that applies to capacitors and inductors with AC voltages. Greg manages to explain it very simply in a way that is easily understood.
Chapter eight: Impedance. Combine resistance with reactance and what do you get? Impedance.
Chapter nine: Semiconductors. The final chapter deals with transistors and diodes. PN junctions, types of transistors and integrated circuits.
Book two is called "Building Simple Circuits". This book takes you through building some simple electronic circuits. This is where the fun begins.
